While there are many, many various components to a pipe organ, the key word is PIPE! Without the pipes the organ has no voice! The Grace Church organ will have nearly 6,400 individual pipes – some as long as 32′ and some smaller than a pencil! Many of the pipes are never seen becuase they are behind the facade (the part you see.) At Casavant, many of our pipes are already packed and ready for their return trip to Providence. Others are in process of being refurbished, and still some are being crafted! Below is a montage of many of our pipes in varous stages right now at Casavant!
