It’s just amazing how some parts of the organ project process seem quite slow, and other parts seem to happen right before your eyes! Today the bottom octave (12 lowest pipes) of the 32′ Contra Bombarde found their home! We did not have these pipes before, nor were there pipes where these have come to rest. Just at the top of the Gallery stairs, as you enter the Organ Gallery, you are now greeted with this beautiful sight! Soon, the 16′ Bombarde (the next 12 pipes) will come to rest just in front of these giants. This entire project is one long period of excitement – but sometimes the excitement is like a burst of energy. This was one of those moments! More to come soon!
